A little bit about me, I’m an Armenian therapist who speaks three languages, Armenian, English, and
French. I have worked in the mental health field since 2009. In my career, I have worked as a
community based therapist providing in home therapy, as well as a school based therapist, outpatient
therapist, and a residential therapist. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, elderly, couples,
and families. I am very passionate about helping you be the best version that you can be.
I use an eclectic approach as a therapist, and when working with individuals utilize EMDR therapy,
psychodynamic therapy, attachment based therapy, narrative therapy, gestalt therapy, & cognitive
therapy. I am trained in EMDR and love to utilize this therapy with my clients. In turn, my clients gain
resources and are empowered to focus on their trauma and help them move forward with their lives
after EMDR treatment. EMDR is a trauma focused therapy which helps the mind connect with the body,
and in turn help the individual become empowered and strengthen their window of tolerance and any
other distress that may endure in their lives. When I am working with families, I use satir family therapy,
structural family therapy, and if possible Bowen Family therapy. These family therapy models help
families create flexible boundaries within the family system, the rules that govern the family. I will help
guide you all as a family to become more flexible with one another, thus improving communication and
reducing any arguments, fights, and resentment towards all family members.

Therapy Specialties
Brainspotting Therapy
Brainspotting is an advanced brain-body therapy that focuses on identifying, processing, and releasing trauma, mental health imbalances and residual emotional stress. This form of therapy reaches parts of the brain that are not generally accessed in traditional talk therapy and most other types of therapy. It also supports the reprocessing of negative experiences and retrains emotional reactions.
EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy
“EMDR is a somatic processing therapy which helps connect the mind with the body. It is a trauma informed type of therapy that empowers clients to utilize their tools to help them alleviate any trauma that clients have experienced and help them to confront the trauma in a safe and secure environment while empowering the client. EMDR is used for grief, depression, trauma, anxiety, difficult relationships, & family problems.“
Gestalt Therapy
Gestalt therapy is a form of psychotherapy that is centered on increasing a person’s awareness, freedom, and self-direction. It’s a form of therapy that focuses on the present moment rather than past experiences. Utilizing experiments, empty chair work, and body techniques, it helps clients to be aware of what they are doing, how they are doing it, how they can value themselves, and at the same time be aware of how they can change themselves. Gestalt therapy works to help clients overcome trauma by helping the “un-whole individual” become “whole” or themselves again.
CBT – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
CBT helps clients by changing their thought patterns and changing negative thoughts and helping them form healthier thoughts. At times, when we get “stuck” on negative or irrational thoughts, it affects our moods and thus affects our behaviors. I will help you unpack those negative thoughts and work with you to form alternative healthier thoughts so that you may move forward with your journey through life.
